Type A[edit | edit source]
- Extra articular;
- A1 – without dislocation
- A2 – with dislocation;
- Extension – Colles fracture
- Flexion – Smith's fracture.
Type B[edit | edit source]
- Partially intra-articular;
- B1 – sagittal
- B2 – dorsal edge avulsion – Barton type I.
- B3 – volar edge avulsion – Barton type II..
Type C[edit | edit source]
- intra-articular comminuted (splinter) – Melon fracture.
Complications[edit | edit source]
- Sudeck's morbus (Sudeck's algodystrophy syndrome)
