Stimulants

Stimulants are substances that increase the functional activity of the organism or its parts. They can be divided according to the organ system on which they act. In the case of the heart, for example, cardiotonics, in the CNS psychostimulants (analeptics and sympathomimetics), etc. Some hormones (TRH, CCK, PTH) can also act as stimulants for a certain organ (or cell type).
