Triceps reflex

From WikiLectures

The triceps reflex is one of the physiological myotatic (proprioceptive) reflexes of the upper limb with segmental innervation C7.[1]

The reflex is performed by tapping the hammer on the tendon of the m. triceps brachii. The upper limb is in approximately 90° of flexion at the elbow. The physiological response is adequate extension of the forearm.[2]
