Anatomy of the uterus

Tumors of the uterus can be divided into 2 large groups': tumors of the cervix and tumors of the body of the uterus. These groups are further divided into benign and malignant tumors.

Tumors of the cervix

• Benign: Endocervical polyp.
• Precancer: Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia.
• Malignant: Squamous cell carcinoma.

Uterine Tumor

Tumors of the uterine body

• Benign tumors: Polyp and leiomyoma.
• Malignant tumors: Leiomyosarcoma, stromal sarcoma, carcinoma and carcinosarcoma.
