Syndrome
• A syndrome is a set of several signs and/or symptoms that occur together in a characteristic pattern.
* Examples:
** ''Nephrotic syndrome'' – heavy proteinuria, hypoalbuminemia, generalized edema, hyperlipidemia.
** ''Down syndrome'' – characteristic facial features, intellectual disability, congenital heart defects.
