Oligohydramnios

Oligohydramnios is a reduced amount of amniotic fluid. It occurs most often with rupture of the sac of membranes, also with placental insufficiency, developmental defects of the kidneys (agenesis, hypoplasia), developmental defects of the urinary tract, karyotype deviations and serious heart diseases Sonographically, oligohydramnios is defined under AFI 5. [1].
