Amphipathic character of the molecules
Amphipathic (amphiphilic) molecules contain both hydrophilic and hydrophobic parts. Typical substances with amphiphilic character are for example soaps, detergents and lipoproteins. Pharmaceuticals include chlorpromazine and naproxen.
