Acute obstructive laryngitis

From WikiLectures

Acute obstructive inflammation of the larynx or obstructive laryngitis or croup is a rapidly progressive disease, manifested by swelling of the soft tissue, redness and painful larynx. The swelling is so massive that it causes airway obstruction, which can lead to death by suffocation, especially in children.

The quickest help is to cool the larynx , often just breathe cold air.
