Trigonum sternocostale

Trigonum sternocostale (Larrey's fissure/fissura) is a fissure between the pars costalis diaphragmatis and pars sternalis diaphragmatis . The vasa epigastrica superiora runs ventrally.
Penetration of diaphragmatic hernias may occur in this area . In such a case, it is a so-called Morgagni hernia .
