Treatment of the symptoms is usually enough.
- antipyretics
- oxygen therapy
- rest
- antitussives
- expectorans
- ß2-Sympatomimetics
Antibiotics - when providing bacterial etiology:
- aminoPNC +/- B - lactamase inhibition
- makrolides
- TTC
- Cef 2.g
- co-trimoxazol
Chronic[edit | edit source]
Chronic cough - oxygen therapy, cold air inhalation / corticosteroids
Obstruction - endoscopy + mucus removal -> examination > antibiotics
Acute bacterial tracheitis - intubation until the mucus and fever dissapear
Stenoses - endoscopic recanalization
