Prehn's sign

Prehn's sign is important in the diagnosis of testicular torsion . As part of the differential diagnosis of acute scrotum, differentiate testicular torsion from epididymitis.
Execution[edit | edit source]
We lift the patient's testicles. Examination:
- in case of testicle torsion – will cause worsening of pain,
- in epididymitis – leads to a slight reduction in pain.
