Pregabalin

From WikiLectures

Pregabalin is an active substance of drugs used in the treatment of epilepsy - alone or as an adjuvant therapy. In addition to its anticonvulsant effect, it is also indicated in the treatment of chronic neuropathic pain. Because of its anxiolytic action, it is also used to treat Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Its use does not entail a significant risk of addiction, unlike opioid analgesics for neuropathic pain, or benzodiazepines in the case of anxiety disorders.
