Obstructive uropathy
Obstructive uropathy is defined as an obstruction in the outflow of urine which, if left unremoved, leads to progressive damage to the renal parenchyma. Chronic, urodynamically significant obstruction can be located in the pyeloureteral junction, in the ureterovesical junction or in the urethra.
