A dendrimer is a macromolecule with a branched structure that is created by precisely defined procedure. Unlike conventional chemical polymerization, the dendrimer has a precisely defined chemical structure. Dendrimers are primarily characterized by a relatively large space inside the dendrimer and a significant number of functional groups on its surface. This makes it possible to store the active substance inside the dendrimer and bind substances that increase biocompatibility and receptors pro targeting.
