Musculus risorius

Musculus risorius is formed by transverse bundles that go from the parotidomasseteric fascia to the corner of the mouth and to the outer edge of the depressor anguli oris muscle .


Vascular supply: a. facialis.

Innervation: n. facialis.

Function: pulls the corner of the mouth to the side when laughing.
