Musculus brachialis

Musculus brachialis belongs to the anterior group of muscles of the arm. A large part of its course is covered by the biceps, which crosses over it.

Beginning: anterior surface of the humerus, from the attachment of the m. deltoideus to the elbow joint.

Extension: tuberositas ulnae to proc. coronoideus ulnae.

Innervation: n. musculocutaneus (C5 and C6).

Function: flexion at the elbow joint.
