Musculus adductor hallucis

Beginning:

1. caput obliquum – plantar surface of the distal bones of the tarsus
2. caput transversum – metatarsophalangeal joints 3–5 finger

Attachment: baze proximálního článku palce, os sesamoideum laterale

Innervation: n. plantaris lateralis (branch from nervus tibialis) (S₁–S₂)

Functions: adduction of the thumb, auxiliary flexion in the metatarsophalangeal joint of the thumb
