Monogenetic traits
From WikiLectures
Monogenetic traits are single gene traits. One gene controls the expression of a specific structure, protein or function. An example is one woman's single gene trait for blood type. The blood type gene is located on chromosome 9 (locus is 9q34). The woman has two copies for this single gene: one she inherited from her father, the other from her mother. The two copies are known as gene alleles.
