Hyalocytes are found in the vitreous

Hyalocytes occur physiologically in the vitreous . In the cytoplasm, they have a richly developed granular endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus, which corresponds to their function - they are responsible for the synthesis of other components of the vitreous, mainly collagen fibrils and glycosaminoglycans .
