English: What is clinical depression? Clinical depression is a serious mental disorder that causes persistent feelings of sadness and loss of interest that interfere with daily life. This video covers some of the causes that are thought to cause depression, DSM-V diagnostic criteria, and treatments, as well as brief reviews of related depressive disorders like postpartum depression, atypical depression, and dysthymia.
