Erythrocyte colour value

The erythrocyte mean cell haemoglobin (MCH) is the average amount of haemoglobin per erythrocyte.


It is calculated according to the formula:

$MCH={\frac {\mbox{hemoglobin [g/l]}}{{\mbox{počet erytrocytů [}}{\mbox{l}}^{-1}{\mbox{]}}}}$

The physiological value of MCH ranges from 28-32 pg. The lower values tend to be in hypochromic anemias, the higher values in macrocytic anemias
