A child with ectodermal dysplasia

A number of disorders of structures from the ectoderm, caused by one's genetics. Symptoms of ectodermal dysplasia include: hypoplasia of the upper jaw, sparse fine hair, pigmentation around the eyes and mouth, absence of eyelashes and eyebrows, conical teeth, atypical tooth shape, microdontia, wide diastema, reduced bite height.
