Congenital radioulnar synostosis

Synostosis radioulnaris congenita belongs to the atrophic congenital defects of the upper limbs.

Definition and clinical picture[edit | edit source]

  • congenital fusion of the proximal end of the radius and ulna, in some types associated with dislocation of the head of the radius
  • supination is not possible or severely limited

Therapy[edit | edit source]

  • operative therapy does not have good results, it is not recommended
