Anomaly of the vestibulum oris[edit | edit source]

  • Shallow vestibulum
  1. Primary shallow vestibulum
Congenital
High attachement of mentalis muscle
  1. Secondary shallow vestibulum
due to gingival recession (missing of attached gingiva)


  • Anomaly in attachement of labial frenulum
  1. Gingival attachment (normally the attachement is mucosal)
  1. Papillary attachment
  1. Through the papilla attachment


PULL SYMPTOM

  • The gingiva around the pathological attachment of the frenulum has whitish (pale) colour


PULL SYNDROME

  • Follows pull symptom
  • Results in opening of the interdental space between the two central incisors (diastema formation)

Tremata[edit | edit source]

  • Single space --> trema
  • Many spaces --> tremata (spacing)
