Summary

Description Using a vacutainer kit to draw blood (venipuncture). Once the needle is inserted into the vein, several vials of blood may be drawn before withdrawing the needle. A box containing several different kinds of vials can be seen in the upper left of the image. An elastic band was wrapped around the upper arm in order to make the vein stand out for an easier stick.
