Erythroplakia

Erythroplakia associated with leukoplakia

This is a finding on the mucous membrane in the oral cavity or on the mucous membrane of the cervix. Erythroplakia is a flat defect, it has a red color and fuzzy edges. Like leukoplakia, it belongs to precancers, but it is even more dangerous in terms of the risk of malignant transformation. Surgical revision is in order.
