Help:Redirecting

From WikiLectures

Most articles can be named in several ways and can be expected to be searched by WikiSkript users under different names. In order to ensure that they actually get to the relevant article, it is necessary to create redirects from alternative article names (called synonyms).

To create a redirect, create an article under the desired name with the only text being #REDIRECT[[Name of the article]] (click on Button_redirect.png) and save.

After entering the relevant article title in the search engine or clicking on the relevant link, the user will then be automatically redirected to the article.

For example, Congenital heart defects, Congenital developmental heart defects and others are also linked to the article Congenital heart defects.

Careful creation of redirects will prevent multiple articles on the same topic and the need for subsequent unification.
