This diagram image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.
It is recommended to name the SVG file “Effect of erythropoietin on Stat5 signaling - journal.pbio.1001385.g001.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
Summary
DescriptionEffect of erythropoietin on Stat5 signaling - journal.pbio.1001385.g001.png
English: The hormone erythropoietin (Epo) stimulates differentiation of bone-marrow erythroblasts into red cells by activating a binary intracellular Stat5 signal. In hypoxic stress, higher Epo increases red cell production by generating a graded Stat5 signal that reaches high intensities in early (large) erythroblasts.
