Decreased number of teeth[edit | edit source]
- Hypodontia - <6 teeth missing
- Oligodontia - >6 teeth missing
- Anodontia - All teeth missing. Associated with ectodermal dysplasias
Increased number of teeth[edit | edit source]
- Hyperdontia (supranumerary teeth)
- Mesiodens - Lies between two central incisors incisors
- Paramolars - Alongside with maxillary molars
- Distomolars - Located distally of third molars
