All mimic muscles are innervated by the branches of the motor part of the facial nerve (Temporal , zygomatic, buccal, marginal mandibular and cervical)

Orbital Group[edit | edit source]

  • Orbicularis oculi (marginal and palpebral parts)
  • Corrugator supercilii.

Nasal Group[edit | edit source]

  • Nasalis muscle (lateral and alar parts)
  • Depressor septi nasi

Oral Group[edit | edit source]

  • Orbicularis oris (marginal and labial parts)
  • Levator labii superioris
  • Levator anguli oris
  • Levator labii superioris alaeque nasi
  • Depressor labii inferioris
  • Depressor anguli oris
  • Mentalis
  • Risorius
  • Zygomaticus major
  • Zygomaticus minor
