Deltoid muscle

Deltoid muscle (lat. musculus deltoideus) is a large muscle forming a shoulder. It arises from the spine of the scapula (spina scapulae), from the lateral part of the clavicle and from the acromion. It inserts into tuberositas deltoidea humeri.

This muscle is innervated by the axillary nerve.
